The intention to create blog posts is there when I am out with the camera, but the computer time is slippery…so here are a few vignettes:
Last week’s ski in fresh fluff, gliding in a steady rhythm as it fell, then turning around to slide back as the sky cleared.
Yesterday’s ski in spring conditions–no hat, shirt sleeves rolled up. Snow soft in the sun, icy in the shade so that skis were either going too fast or bogging down. I fell down, got up, fell down, got up…lost count. What stays with me is the strength and warmth of the sunlight.
All I can say is that somebody has to dig them out, and it makes me feel righteous to perform this service.
Hazel catkins (Corylus cornuta). Watching the progress of catkins and buds closely these days…
Nice photos, Deb. Are those the Sani-Cans at French Cabin Creek?
You know your Honey Buckets, Jon. Don’t you miss them?
Vignettes… are cool! Remind me of Haiku.. I love em.
