Freezing fog fills the Kittitas Valley, backing up against the Cascades. Day after day of gray, unless you are able to climb up out of it. At Reecer Creek, frost crystals form on any surface: vegetation, rocks, fences and powerlines. The ice coating is fragile, delicate. You can almost hear a faint tinkling in the foggy hush.
