Spring Snow

This is why I like crocus. They are indefatigable, and roll with the punches.

A wall of white to the west this afternoon. Snow squalls are whirling just a few miles away.

  1. Another early cousin that pops thru the snow in early spring are the Avalanch Lilies. Easy to spot in yellow flower, but a reminder that in avalanche country (where they thrive) caution should be observed lest a real avalanche should happen and scare you enough to also leave a “yellow
patch” on the snow – nuff said.

  2. Adendum” Please change the name of the flower to Glacier Lilly – my mistake.
Even more care should be taken in glacier country.
