  1. Another early cousin that pops thru the snow in early spring are the Avalanch Lilies. Easy to spot in yellow flower, but a reminder that in avalanche country (where they thrive) caution should be observed lest a real avalanche should happen and scare you enough to also leave a “yellow
    patch” on the snow – nuff said.

  2. Adendum” Please change the name of the flower to Glacier Lilly – my mistake.
    Even more care should be taken in glacier country.
